Live Nativity...

Joseph, Mary, and the Angel

Here comes the shepherd....beating baby Jesus
and the Christmas tree.

Comic relief

Brodey and Nellie practiced their lines for me
all day.

Mary, baby Jesus, and the proud Joseph.
After the fashion show, the cousins performed
the Nativity for us. They did a great job! And Wednesday
they will be "performing" again at the ward Christmas party.
Nellie will be Mary and Brodey will be a shepherd. Jax will not
be carrying a shepherd's crook in public!

So cute!

I love it when kids re-enact the nativity...so much better than watching adults!

Have you seen the cheesy old Christmas movie "The Greatest Christmas Pageant"? I think it is from the late 70s or early 80s. We watched it last week at our Primary activity...it was so good. It's about some rouffian (sp?) kids who get invited to church and take over the nativity play. Like the shepherds are all fighting with each other (sound familiar? ;), the angel is screaming "A CHILD IS BORN!!", and Mary almost burns the chapel down. It's pretty funny for as church-y movies go and it has a great message at the end...like I was almost crying...you know the kind of crying for cheesy movies. Anyways, if you can find it, you may get a kick out of watching it...or your kids may get some ideas, he, he!

Hope you guys have a Merry Christmas!!
